The mission of the Friends of the CAC is to be a major financial contributor to the Harford County Child Advocacy Center, enabling it to enhance and expand its resources to protect children within the community.
The Friends has been in existence since 2004 and has supported the CAC by providing supplies for therapeutic interventions, training, and equipment. The Friends hopes to increase contributions in the upcoming years to help the CAC maximize its impact on the community.
The Friends of the CAC is comprised of a dedicated group of volunteers who want to make a difference in their community by advocating for our most vulnerable citizens – our children. The Friends is committed to helping the CAC in its mission to investigate allegations of child maltreatment while providing services and resources for the abused child and his/her family. The CAC is staffed by Police, Prosecutors, Social Workers, Therapists, Family Advocates and others who work daily to provide competent and effective investigations in a child friendly atmosphere. The Friends endeavors to assist the CAC in protecting our community’s children.
Please consider donating to the Child Advocacy Center. Each dollar of your contribution will assist us in keeping the doors open for the more than 350 children, non-offending family members, and siblings that the CAC serves on a daily basis.
The Friends of the CAC is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit corporation and all donations are tax deductible.
